Botox is a toxin which when injected into skin helps remove signs of aging such as wrinkles and lines. It is most often used to minimize lines on your forehead, crow’s feet (lines on the side of your eyes) and smile lines. It can also be used to reduce excessive underarm sweating.
HOW IT WORKS
When botox is injected into your muscles, it blocks nerve signals. This means your muscles can’t contract anymore – thus reducing your wrinkles
The process takes just a few minutes. The doctor will use a small syringe to inject the botox. It might cause minor discomfort.
PRE CARE
- Do not consume alcohol 1 week before the procedure
- Do not take anti inflammatory medicine 2 weeks before the procedure
POST CARE
- Stay upright 4-5 hours after the procedure
- Do not rub the treatment area. This can cause the botox to spread around
- Do not exercise for upto 24 hours after the procedure
RESULTS
- The results are visible within 1-2 weeks of the procedure
- The results last for about 6 months
When this procedure is done by a qualified and experienced doctor, you get natural-looking results. When not done right, botox can lead to severe issues.
